The Faculty of Environmental Studies is excited to announce the 24th annual Eco-Arts and Media Festival, Presenting events, workshops and performances from March 5th through to March 9th across a constellation of artistic venues at FES – Zig Zag Gallery, Wild Garden Media Centre, Crossroads the unGallery and other spaces to be announced. The festival will include work by York students and faculty. Since 1994 the Eco-Arts and Media Festival has featured music, performance, dance and participatory workshops where activism and art practices express perspectives on environmental and social issues. Artists featured at this year’s festival will include an art exhibition in crossroads by Ayesha Khan, artist talk by Camille Turner, a workshop and musical performance by Guadalupe Urbina (faculty in the Las Nubes Campus in Costa Rica) also joined by student and faculty at our Eco-Arts cabaret happening this year at the Lula Lounge. The festival will finish off on Friday, March 9th with a day where food and art intersect including a student organized panel on food access, workshops and a closing feast.
